A few weeks ago, I posted one of my digital planner spreads for the week and was overwhelmed by the number of responses that I got about my handwriting. I was flattered by all the comments, but I also really wanted to do something to help others who said they are still struggling with their digital writing.
Now, I’ve admittedly spent a lot of time practicing and really honing my digital writing skills, so I will be the first to tell you that there is no real quick and dirty solution. You have to slow down, practice, and be a little more mindful of your writing, especially on a slippery surface like a tablet screen.
But do you know what has helped the MOST with my digital writing? I keep a little writing guide image on every single planner page. In fact, it’s usually the first sticker I add to any new planner page. It keeps my writing neat and organized and forces me to slow down when I am writing.
If you are handy with a design app like Procreate, Illustrator, or Photoshop, you can make your own little writing guides just by spacing out a few horizontal lines. But I’ve got something even easier for you.
I created 8 free writing guides that you can download and use for free. Simply download the file, unzip, and drag one of the stickers into your planner. Each sticker is spaced out a little differently, so be sure to play around and find out which one is your favorite for your own unique handwriting style.
